Synopsis

Taken from her mother at twelve, Camellia is forced into House Bale and made to live as the family's second son, Camellius. Her disguise protects the noble family's interests but leaves her trapped inside a life built on secrets. As she grows older, powerful young nobles become increasingly entangled with her, making it harder to keep her identity hidden while she searches for a way to reclaim her own name and future.

Story profile
★ My Take

Finding Camellia starts with a strong identity-driven hook and polished historical artwork that makes the aristocratic setting easy to sink into. Camellia's disguise and complicated position inside House Bale create plenty of romantic and social tension. Reader reaction is more divided later on, especially around adaptation changes, rushed conflicts, and Claude's possessiveness, so the comic works best as a dramatic binge rather than a tightly faithful novel adaptation.

✓ Why you'd like it

The appeal comes from watching Camellia navigate nobility while hiding a life-changing secret, with romance constantly threatening to expose her. The elegant visuals, high-status love interests, longing, jealousy, and identity tension make it especially bingeable for readers who enjoy emotionally heightened historical romance.

⚠ What may not be for everyone

The later adaptation diverges noticeably from the novel, and some conflicts resolve faster than their buildup suggests. Claude's controlling and possessive behavior is also divisive, particularly for readers who prefer clearly green-flag romance.
