Synopsis

Reborn inside a novel, Shuryna knows that helping its male leads pursue her friend Hestia will eventually end in banishment. She would much rather train as a magic knight, earn a dependable income, and enjoy a comfortable retirement. Unfortunately, the young men around her keep complicating that practical plan. As academy friendships develop and familiar characters behave differently from their written roles, Shuryna must protect her future without becoming trapped in the matchmaking job she is determined to refuse.

Story profile
★ My Take

Shuryna’s interest in a secure career gives the academy comedy an appealingly practical center. Reader enthusiasm repeatedly highlights the friendships, including relationships allowed to remain platonic, and the lively artwork. The romance grows through everyday familiarity rather than an immediate exclusive pairing, which suits the warm ensemble but asks for patience with a heroine slow to recognize how others see her.

✓ Why you'd like it

Shuryna wants a future she can support through her own skills, making training and career choices matter alongside romantic attention. The satisfying shift is watching people approach her as someone worth knowing, rather than treating her as a convenient route to her more celebrated friend.

⚠ What may not be for everyone

Several important male relationships develop together, so an immediately settled couple is not the main attraction. Shuryna’s limited awareness of romantic interest can prolong uncertainty, and the academy’s lighter comedy eventually shares space with grief and more serious personal histories.
