Synopsis

Dani wakes up to discover her ordinary school life has transformed into a cliché internet novel. Her new best friend is impossibly beautiful, four legendary boys dominate the school, and Dani appears destined to be the forgettable sidekick. Determined to avoid plot-driven disaster, she tries to keep her distance—only for genuine friendships and changing realities to make it impossible to treat the people around her as fictional characters.

Story profile
★ My Take

What begins as a lively genre parody grows into a thoughtful story about belonging, memory, and Dani's fear that her relationships can disappear without warning. The ensemble friendships are often stronger than the romance, and A Hyeon's art sells both comedy and emotional turns. Its length and repeated misunderstandings can test patience.

✓ Why you'd like it

Dani's genre awareness does not make life easier; it makes her question whether she deserves a place beside people coded as protagonists. That insecurity gives the school comedy unexpected emotional depth and lets the large cast develop beyond their archetypes.

⚠ What may not be for everyone

The main romance advances extremely slowly, and Dani's avoidance creates recurring misunderstandings. Numerous school arcs and a crowded reverse-harem cast make the series feel more like a long ensemble coming-of-age story than focused romantasy.
