Synopsis

Sarah Millen knows the terrible future awaiting Claude Ambrosia because she wrote it herself. In her novel, the boy grows up inside a cursed noble family and ultimately becomes an empire-destroying villain. Entering his life as his nanny gives Sarah a chance to intervene before that damage is complete. Helping Claude trust others also means confronting the distance between him and his father, Duke Ethan, while Sarah's own circumstances make her involvement far from safe.

Story profile
★ My Take

Sarah's responsibility for the original story gives the caregiving premise an unusually pointed emotional angle. The developing household offers tenderness, but the curse prevents that warmth from becoming consequence-free wish fulfillment. Seongik's expressive, loose linework is distinctive and divisive. The mystery can also withhold information for too long, making this more appealing as an atmospheric family drama than as a tightly explained magical puzzle.

✓ Why you'd like it

Repairing the relationship between Claude and Ethan creates stakes beyond simply winning a child's affection. Sarah has to help two people recognize what they mean to each other, and her own vulnerability adds urgency to scenes that might otherwise be comfortably domestic.

⚠ What may not be for everyone

The storytelling can be elusive about its magical rules and the heroine's situation. The sketch-like artwork will not suit readers who prefer polished, uniform rendering, and the family history includes emotional abuse and self-destructive thoughts alongside the comforting moments.
