Synopsis

For six years, Leyla has waited for her fiancé to return from war and done her best to support his household in his absence. When he finally comes home, he brings another woman who is carrying his child. He expects Leyla to accept the arrangement while treating her as an afterthought. Faced with a future built around his betrayal, she must decide whether to keep holding the household together or make a life beyond it.

Story profile
★ My Take

Leyla's predicament makes this a satisfying pick when you want to see an ungrateful fiancé lose his hold over the heroine. The early chapters lean hard on his audacity, while the court setting gives her choices room to matter beyond romance. The art makes the period drama easy to sink into. Expect a drawn-out emotional payoff rather than instant revenge.

✓ Why you'd like it

The most rewarding part is watching Leyla recognize how much she has already carried for other people. Her exit feels like a decision about her own worth, and that gives the eventual romantic possibilities more weight than a simple replacement boyfriend story.

⚠ What may not be for everyone

The fiancé's behavior is deliberately infuriating, and the story spends time inside that unfair arrangement before Leyla can move forward. If prolonged humiliation is exhausting for you, the opening stretch may feel more punishing than cathartic.
