Synopsis

Yeonwoo is a delicate-looking, painfully shy high-school student who is frequently mistaken for a girl. He secretly admires Haesol Kang, the tall, popular, and seemingly unshakable classmate he has never managed to approach. When their lives finally intersect, their role-reversing romance develops alongside difficult friendships, school pressures, and the buried trauma that has shaped Yeonwoo's fear of being seen.

Story profile
★ My Take

The visual role reversal is charming, but the series becomes much more emotionally serious than its soft opening suggests. Esol handles Yeonwoo's anxiety and damaged self-worth with painful specificity, while Haesol's composure hides her own limitations. Some drama stretches for a long time, yet the vulnerability makes their progress meaningful.

✓ Why you'd like it

Yeonwoo is allowed to be gentle, frightened, and romantically pursued without the story treating those traits as a joke. Haesol's physical confidence and quiet protectiveness create a distinctive dynamic that still gives both characters room to grow.

⚠ What may not be for everyone

Bullying, trauma, panic, and emotional abuse become far more prominent than the early school-romance presentation suggests. Miscommunication and slow recovery arcs can make the relationship feel stalled for extended stretches.
