Synopsis

Overworked and broke, 25-year-old Ji-eon accidentally ends up assisting top actor Doyun Nam and later discovers that a strange plush doll can make him obey her commands. What begins as payback against an infuriating celebrity turns into an increasingly complicated relationship where control, attraction, and genuine feelings become difficult to separate.

Story profile
★ My Take

This is at its best when it fully embraces the ridiculous setup. XUANN gets a lot of mileage out of Doyun being a polished celebrity in public and an easily flustered disaster around Ji-eon, and the expressive art makes the comedy land. The romance gradually becomes much sweeter than the premise suggests, with enough emotional growth to make the leads feel different by the end. The middle stretch can wander once the love triangle takes over, but it is still a very easy completed rom-com to binge.

✓ Why you'd like it

If you like romances where an arrogant male lead gets repeatedly humbled, this has that energy in abundance. The celebrity-versus-struggling-worker contrast gives the couple plenty of friction, the magical doll keeps the early chapters unpredictable, and the slow-burn payoff comes with lots of teasing, jealousy, awkward closeness, and genuinely funny reactions. Readers who enjoy light supernatural hooks mixed into modern romance will probably have a good time with it.

⚠ What may not be for everyone

The love triangle becomes a major part of the story and can feel stretched out, especially if you strongly prefer one of the two male leads. The supernatural doll is also used less centrally during some later stretches, so readers who came mainly for the magical premise may wish it stayed more important. Its ability to override Doyun's actions also creates a body-autonomy and consent issue that some readers may find uncomfortable even though the series usually plays the setup for comedy.
