Synopsis

Princess Gwendolyn is kind, musically gifted, and deeply loved by her family, but she does not resemble the beautiful princesses celebrated in fairy tales. After overhearing a cruel reaction from her intended prince, she runs into the forest and discovers the Cursed Princess Club, a household of royal women whose curses and appearances pushed them outside society's ideal. Their friendship helps Gwen question the distorted story she has learned about her own worth.

Story profile
★ My Take

Cursed Princess Club begins as an affectionate fairy-tale parody and grows into a thoughtful story about shame, beauty standards, family patterns, and self-perception. Gwen's healing is not reduced to receiving romantic validation; the club gives her a community that can challenge the beliefs she has internalized. LambCat uses recurring musical motifs, visual jokes, and carefully planted revelations so apparently silly details gain emotional significance later. The enormous cast remains unusually memorable, and even flawed characters receive understandable motives without automatic forgiveness. Its humor can be broad, but the completed narrative earns its more serious turns and offers one of WEBTOON's strongest found-family arcs.

✓ Why you'd like it

It is genuinely funny while treating insecurity with compassion. The club members are not inspirational props; they are complicated friends with their own romances, fears, and mistakes. Long-running jokes develop into plot points, and the fairy-tale world gradually reveals emotional and political depth beneath its candy-colored surface.

⚠ What may not be for everyone

The opening leans heavily into exaggerated comedy, songs, and deliberately simple art before the larger plot becomes clear. Its long ensemble structure can pause Gwen's romance for extended periods, and some readers may find the repeated focus on appearance emotionally uncomfortable even though the story critiques those standards.
