Synopsis

Dam Lee, a 24-year-old university student, accidentally swallows the magical bead of Wuyeo Shin, a gumiho who has spent centuries trying to become human. If the bead stays inside her for a year, Dam will die and Wuyeo's ambition will fail. Moving in together gives them a chance to solve the problem, but sharing a home brings new complications as her ordinary student life intersects with his supernatural existence.

Story profile
★ My Take

Dam's blunt personality is the strongest reason to try this one: she gives the ancient-fox romance a lively human center. The contrast between her practical reactions and Wuyeo's unfamiliarity with ordinary life keeps the domestic setup entertaining. Its simpler drawing style suits the jokes better than readers expecting lavish fantasy art might anticipate. The long run asks for patience, but the heroine's voice makes the familiar premise feel personable.

✓ Why you'd like it

Dam does not become a silent passenger just because her roommate is powerful and mysterious. Her willingness to speak up makes awkward situations satisfying, while their shared household lets an extraordinary relationship develop through ordinary routines, boundaries, and small changes in how they understand each other.

⚠ What may not be for everyone

The centuries-wide age gap and Dam's dependence on Wuyeo's knowledge create an uneven starting point. The early art is comparatively plain, and the extended run can feel leisurely if you want the magical-bead problem resolved quickly rather than explored alongside daily life.
