Synopsis

Sia Lee is a modern vampire who absorbs human energy through touch instead of drinking blood. Her confidence usually makes feeding easy, until she meets Jiho, a new neighbor whose severe mysophobia makes physical contact nearly impossible. Sia first treats touching him as a challenge, but curiosity becomes affection as she learns that his fear is connected to deeper wounds. Jiho, meanwhile, must decide whether Sia's supernatural nature is more frightening than the vulnerability required to trust her. Their unusual courtship unfolds amid vampire family expectations, jealous rivals, and the practical difficulty of building intimacy when touch itself is the central obstacle.

Story profile
★ My Take

unTouchable builds a clever romantic engine from incompatible needs: Sia depends on contact, while Jiho experiences it as danger. The early pursuit can be broad and intrusive, yet the story gradually shifts from conquest to consent, trust, and patient exposure to vulnerability. Sia's boldness keeps the heroine from becoming passive, while Jiho's anxiety receives more emotional context than a simple running joke. The art and comedy reflect an earlier WEBTOON style, with exaggerated expressions and fast episodic setups. Supporting conflicts sometimes lean on jealousy or misunderstandings, and the vampire lore is designed to serve romance more than deep worldbuilding. Even so, the completed series remains distinctive because physical touch is both supernatural sustenance and emotional language. Its best moments recognize that affection cannot cure fear instantly; intimacy has to be negotiated rather than taken.

✓ Why you'd like it

The central dynamic produces natural tension without relying only on a secret crush. Sia and Jiho are both frustrated for understandable reasons, and their progress can be measured through small changes in comfort and honesty. The supernatural setting stays light enough for comedy while still giving the relationship consequences. Readers wanting a completed vampire romance with an assertive heroine and a genuinely unusual obstacle will find it easy to binge.

⚠ What may not be for everyone

Sia initially pushes Jiho's boundaries, and some jokes about his mysophobia may feel insensitive. The story uses jealousy and rival interference more often than necessary, while side characters receive uneven development. Readers seeking dark vampire mythology or action will find the series romance-led and relatively low stakes. Its older artwork and pacing may also feel less polished than current WEBTOON releases.
