Synopsis

Jamie Oh is a gloomy high school loner whose closest companions are ghosts. He is stunned when Holy Joo, the beautiful and intimidating school idol, begins talking to him on the first day of class. Their connection becomes far stranger after a supernatural accident entangles life, death, bodies, and restless spirits, forcing Jamie to confront both his hidden past and Holy's unexpectedly sincere affection.

Story profile
★ My Take

Oh! Holy combines paranormal chaos with an endearing reversal of the usual school-romance dynamic. Jamie is shy and isolated rather than effortlessly cool, while Holy is physically confident, direct, and often the person doing the protecting. Their sincerity anchors a plot filled with ghosts, body-related complications, and escalating supernatural rules. Ahyun's expressive comedy makes the early chapters easy to binge, then the story gradually introduces heavier emotional history without losing its warmth. Some later twists are messier than the simple opening premise, but the completed relationship remains sweet, loyal, and refreshingly free of the prolonged romantic indecision common to many school webtoons.

✓ Why you'd like it

Holy's bold devotion and Jamie's gentle awkwardness create a lovable couple almost immediately, while the ghosts keep their school life unpredictable. The romance offers role reversal without turning either lead into a joke, and the completed run balances absurd comedy with surprisingly sincere ideas about loneliness, death, and being seen.

⚠ What may not be for everyone

The supernatural mythology becomes more complicated and melodramatic in later arcs, with body-related twists and danger replacing some of the opening's simple comedy. Readers who prefer grounded school romance may find the ghost plot excessive, while the humor can be loud and intentionally absurd.
