Ch. 01 · The story

What it's about

Spoiler level: Minor — for the synopsis & review below

Eunkyum is attractive and sociable, yet his romantic life repeatedly delivers irresponsible men and disappointing relationships. When a new supervisor joins his office, Eunkyum initially notices everything desirable about him: competence, stability, and looks. Unfortunately, Jihyuk is also severe, demanding, and difficult to please, turning daily work into a contest of patience. Their hostility develops into attraction neither handles gracefully, complicated by alcohol, jealousy, workplace authority, and the emotional baggage both men bring to intimacy. What begins as an office clash becomes a relationship that forces Eunkyum to reconsider the kind of treatment he has accepted in the name of love.

Ch. 02 · Our verdict

My take

The friction of an office hierarchy generates immediate chemistry here. Eunkyum's expressive reactions keep the story lively, while Jihyuk's controlled exterior makes each crack in his composure feel significant. The attraction is adult, physical, and messy rather than idealized, and the completed length gives the characters space to move beyond a simple boss-employee fantasy. Danbi's clean art makes both workplace comedy and intimate scenes easy to read. The same power imbalance that creates tension is also the series' most divisive element. Jihyuk can be overbearing, and early sexual or alcohol-related situations may feel insufficiently consensual to some readers. Later emotional development provides context and softens the dynamic, but it does not erase how the relationship begins. The office setting is strongest when professional pressure and romantic uncertainty overlap; outside antagonism can feel more conventional. Readers comfortable with imperfect adults and dominant behavior may find the couple compelling, while anyone seeking consistently respectful communication from the start should read with caution.

✓ Read it if…

The series offers a complete workplace romance with sustained banter, jealousy, attraction, and emotional payoff. Eunkyum has enough personality to resist being reduced to the softer half of the couple, and Jihyuk's eventual vulnerability gives their conflict more than surface heat. Readers can also choose between two verified English platforms. It is a particularly good fit for BL fans who prefer adult jobs and relationship baggage over school settings or fantasy-world obstacles.

! Skip it if…

Workplace authority, coercive behavior, intoxication, and blurred consent are important concerns, especially early in the relationship. Jihyuk's strictness and possessiveness may read as romantic dominance to some people and as controlling behavior to others. The plot sometimes relies on jealousy and poor communication to prolong conflict. Because the title is marketed differently across platforms, readers should also check the available edition and age rating before assuming every version contains identical material.
