Synopsis

A reader wakes inside her favorite novel as Princess Estella, a cursed royal hostage whose original story ends in death. She knows the only artifact capable of changing that fate is a magical hourglass owned by Emperor Tariq Winter, the ruthless male lead currently holding her captive. With escape impossible and time running out, Estella decides her safest route is to charm Tariq long enough to steal the hourglass, uncover the nobles' secrets, and rewind the future before the story kills her.

Story profile
★ My Take

The series uses a clean survival goal to keep its transmigration plot moving: Estella needs the hourglass, and the man who owns it is also her greatest danger. Her attempts to manipulate Tariq create steady romantic tension without making her forget why she approached him. The completed length is compact enough to avoid endless court detours. Some twists rely on familiar tyrant-romance conventions, but the time-device objective gives the story useful structure.

✓ Why you'd like it

Estella cannot simply avoid the male lead; survival requires deliberately getting close to him and stealing his most valuable magical object. That creates a fun contradiction between strategic seduction and the possibility of genuine attachment.

⚠ What may not be for everyone

The hostage setup creates a strong power imbalance, and the romance uses familiar ruthless-emperor behavior. Readers wanting a softer relationship or extensive political worldbuilding may find the story too focused on the central pair.
