Synopsis

After Iris Whittle is murdered by her sadistic husband, she wakes at age twenty with a chance to escape the same tragic future. The unwanted daughter of a duke uses her status and knowledge of what is coming to propose a strategic marriage to Count Keibrandt Green, a feared nobleman whose stern exterior conceals the instincts and devotion of a wolf.

Story profile
★ My Take

Dalchun's lavish art makes the dangerous attraction between Iris and Keibrandt feel almost tangible, while Iris has enough nerve and foresight to keep their provocative marriage bargain from becoming a one-sided power fantasy. The story is strongest when it balances her practical survival plans with his increasingly consuming devotion. Its possessive romance and heightened melodrama are deliberate, however, so readers who need impeccable boundaries may struggle with the central pairing.

✓ Why you'd like it

It delivers an assertive regressor heroine, a beastkin male lead who commits with frightening intensity, and a romance that never pretends to be mild. The rich character art, supernatural politics, and completed Korean story make it an especially easy long binge.

⚠ What may not be for everyone

The relationship leans heavily into ownership, jealousy, and dubious-consent tension, while Iris's first life includes severe mistreatment. Its alpha-beast behavior and sensual melodrama are central to the fantasy, so readers looking for a gentle green-flag romance should choose something else.
