Synopsis

Condemned for a murder conspiracy, Rinette discovers that her stepsister Kanna engineered the betrayal that ruined her life. At her execution, she wishes for another chance and awakens as her younger self. Knowing who betrayed her, Rinette sets out to protect her family and undermine Kanna before the same tragedy unfolds. But changing the past does not guarantee control over it, and each intervention produces consequences she cannot fully predict.

Story profile
★ My Take

The family rivalry supplies a sharp hook, and the polished visuals make its confrontations easy to follow. Rinette’s increasingly harsh choices also keep revenge from feeling entirely uncomplicated. Reader responses are mixed about the compressed final stretch, so this works better as a quick, messy drama than as a meticulously developed political epic.

✓ Why you'd like it

There is satisfaction in recognizing an apparently harmless gesture as a threat before the surrounding characters do. That gap between Rinette’s knowledge and everyone else’s trust makes family encounters feel charged, even when no obvious confrontation is taking place.

⚠ What may not be for everyone

The final stretch resolves developments quickly, leaving some emotional transitions abrupt. Rinette’s response to betrayal can also make her difficult to support, especially if you expect a consistently sympathetic heroine whose revenge stays within clear moral boundaries.
