Synopsis

After her boyfriend dies, Rari is overwhelmed by grief and decides to finish the bucket list they created together before ending her own life. Her plan changes when she becomes connected to Hansol, a neighbor carrying painful wounds of his own. As they complete new experiences and learn one another's histories, their relationship opens the possibility that remembrance does not have to mean surrendering the future.

Story profile
★ My Take

Her Bucket List handles a high-risk premise with more compassion than its setup might suggest. The story does not treat romance as a magical cure for grief; instead, Rari and Hansol slowly create reasons to remain present while still carrying loss. Their bond grows through shared activities and mutual recognition, giving the emotional turning points a concrete foundation. The art is soft and approachable, which makes the darker thoughts underneath the story feel even more immediate. A few developments arrive quickly because of the compact length, but the series remains focused on recovery, survivor guilt, and the difficult difference between honoring someone and following them into death.

✓ Why you'd like it

The bucket-list structure gives each emotional step a clear purpose while keeping the story from becoming relentlessly heavy. Rari and Hansol are allowed to be messy, withdrawn, and hopeful at different times, and their relationship feels like companionship growing alongside healing rather than a replacement for professional or personal recovery.

⚠ What may not be for everyone

Suicidal intent is central from the opening and may be distressing despite the ultimately life-affirming direction. Some readers may also find the movement from profound grief toward romance too compressed, especially when side characters and recovery milestones receive less development than the leads.
