Synopsis

Angela writes an embarrassingly enthusiastic fan story about deposed Prince Rayburn, only for her sister to publish it without permission. The book becomes a sensation and attracts dangerous attention from the imperial family. Rayburn's politically astute sister Hoya offers Angela protection if she produces a sequel capable of repairing the prince's ruined public image. Angela is suddenly living beside the intimidating man she once idealized, gathering material while confronting the distance between propaganda, fandom, and reality. Her sincere support begins affecting Rayburn, but their growing bond is entangled with succession conflict and a court willing to weaponize every story told about him.

Story profile
★ My Take

I Stan the Prince combines exuberant fan comedy with unusually polished political-romance art. Angela's devotion is ridiculous but never entirely shallow; she sees value in Rayburn before understanding him and then has to replace fantasy with genuine knowledge. Rayburn's reserve contrasts beautifully with her energy, while Hoya's strategic presence keeps the plot from becoming a simple celebrity-crush story. zoo sun's facial expressions, costumes, and cinematic compositions are exceptional. The series moves slowly and has experienced publication breaks, so political threads and romantic progress can feel suspended. Its title has also varied across English references; Tappytoon's active page currently uses I Stan the Prince, while I'm Stanning the Prince remains a useful alternate title. When the story is moving, the contrast between private affection and public narrative is compelling. Angela is not merely cheering from the sidelines—her writing becomes political power.

✓ Why you'd like it

The art alone is a major draw, but the relationship also offers a satisfying transition from fan and subject to two people who influence one another. Angela is funny without being incompetent, Rayburn has vulnerability beneath his frightening reputation, and Hoya adds sharp political intelligence. Readers who enjoy public-image plots, royal succession, and slow romantic tension will find the combination distinctive.

⚠ What may not be for everyone

Updates have been irregular, and the official listing remains ongoing at 79 chapters, leaving major political and romantic questions unresolved. Angela's intense fandom may cause secondhand embarrassment, while the succession plot can be dense after long gaps. The romance is very slow, and Rayburn's limited communication sometimes makes progress depend on interpretation rather than conversation.
