Synopsis

Ladis Tillord spends her first life restoring her declining knightly house through her own swordsmanship, only to watch every achievement credited to her incompetent brother in the name of family duty. Near death, she finally recognizes how thoroughly those obligations consumed her life. When she receives another chance, Ladis decides she will no longer sacrifice her future for relatives who treat her as a resource and begins building a life defined by her own choices.

Story profile
★ My Take

The strongest hook is how clearly Ladis understands the cost of being the family's endlessly reliable eldest daughter. Her second life is less about spectacular revenge than learning to stop volunteering for exploitation, which gives the regression emotional weight. The swordsmanship angle keeps her proactive, while the family conflict is immediately satisfying. Because the English release is still new, the romance and larger political direction remain early-stage.

✓ Why you'd like it

Ladis has already proven she can save her family; her challenge now is realizing she no longer has to. That shift from duty to self-respect makes even small acts of refusal feel rewarding and gives the usual regression formula a relatable emotional center.

⚠ What may not be for everyone

The English release is still early, so several character arcs are only beginning. Readers wanting immediate romance may find the initial focus on family exploitation, swordsmanship, and personal independence slower.
