Synopsis

After her rival steals her fiancé, Ginger Torte discovers a book describing a romance that appears to predict the people around her. To her annoyance, the heroine is that same rival, Lerazie, and the desirable prince is meant for someone else. Ginger decides to interfere and claim a better role for herself. Unfortunately, pursuing a cursed prince is harder when his unusual ability threatens to expose the embarrassing thoughts she would prefer to keep private.

Story profile
★ My Take

Ginger’s complete lack of romantic composure is the main attraction. Her chaotic attempts to look seductive become especially funny beside a prince who can perceive more than she realizes. The art keeps the flirtation appealing, but the jealous rivalry and repeated embarrassment will be less charming if you need a consistently clever or dignified heroine.

✓ Why you'd like it

The comedy works through the gap between Ginger’s intended impression and what she actually reveals. Rather than waiting for perfect romantic timing, she keeps stumbling into intimacy, making the prince’s growing amusement and affection feel like a response to an unmistakably specific person.

⚠ What may not be for everyone

Ginger makes impulsive choices and embarrasses herself frequently, so secondhand embarrassment is part of the experience. The rival-woman conflict is also prominent; readers tired of romantic competition between women may find that framing more irritating than playful.
